David Gonzalez

David Gonzalez is a trusted bilingual public relations leader with experience managing reputational risks
through strategic media relations programs, community engagement and stakeholder communication,
successfully guiding organizations in an array of industries and sectors through complex media,
governmental affairs, and public engagement challenges.
An integral leader of the United Airlines corporate communications team, David is responsible for amplifying the airlines credibility globally leading its internal and external communications strategy around hiring and recruitment and People Impact (e.g., Diversity, Equity & Inclusion). He works collaboratively with leadership across the enterprise to drive the airline’s growth, hiring and employee training narrative, positioning the airline as a great place to work, an employer of choice, and the best place to launch and grow your career.
Prior to joining United, David spent nearly a decade leading governmental affairs and media relations strategies and campaigns for clients at Pierpont Communications, a Houston-based public relations and marketing agency, and also taught senior level communications courses at the University of Houston Jack J. Valenti School of Communication.
