Russel Lolacher is Product Director for DriveBC, the province’s travel information system and the former Director of Web and Social Media Services for the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. He’s been responsible for launching and leading the government's first social customer care program with a focus on emergency communications, operational customer care and public education. He's the founder of the cross-government Digital Engagement Community of Practice, been recognized as an innovative leader in social media, public engagement and customer care by Microsoft, Hootsuite and Instagram, and spoken internationally at events on the value of building public trust in the public service.
