Josh Freed is the director of global response communications at United Airlines. His team monitors social and traditional media, responds to real-time inquiries about United’s operation as well as communications and crisis planning. In 10 years as an airline communicator, he has worked daily with reporters from top media to help them understand the airline’s operations, finances and customer service, driving fair, accurate coverage of the world’s largest airline. Earlier in his career he covered aviation for The Associated Press.
